St Stephen in Brannel Parish Council is inviting enthusiastic and community-minded residents to apply for co-option to fill three Parish Councillor vacancies. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in local decision-making and help shape the future of your community. Whether you’re passionate about local services, planning, the environment, or community events – your voice can make a real difference.

🧭 What Is Co-option?

Co-option is the process the Parish Council uses to fill councillor vacancies when an election is not required. Applicants must meet eligibility criteria and be committed to working on behalf of all residents in the ward.

✅ Who Can Apply?

To stand for co-option, you must be:

• At least 18 years old

• A British citizen, or a citizen of the Commonwealth or European Union

• Registered on the electoral roll for St Stephen Ward or meet one of the other eligibility criteria
