🧭 What Is Co-option?
Co-option is the process the Parish Council uses to fill councillor vacancies when an election is not required. Applicants must meet eligibility criteria and be committed to working on behalf of all residents in the ward.
✅ Who Can Apply?
To stand for co-option, you must be:

At least 18 years old

A British citizen, or a citizen of the Commonwealth or European Union

Registered on the electoral roll for St Stephen Ward or meet one of the other eligibility criteria
