Re-introduction of Weed Treatment – Cornwall Council

St Stephen in Brannel Parish Council has received a number of queries regarding Cornwall Council’s proposed new programme of weed treatment across Cornwall.
Councillors have not yet considered the correspondence received from Cornwall Council. This matter will be discussed at the Parish Council meeting on Wednesday 6 May 2026. Cornwall Council has agreed to an extension to the original response deadline of 20 April 2026, to allow the Parish Council additional time to consider the matter fully.
As officers are currently carrying out the necessary research to help ensure that Councillors can make an informed decision, the Parish Council is not in a position to comment on the matter before that meeting.
Any emails sent to the Parish Council will be anonymised and circulated to Councillors for consideration. Residents are also encouraged to contact their Cornwall Councillors directly, as Cornwall Council is due to discuss this matter at its meeting on 21 April 2026 – https://democracy.cornwall.gov.uk/…/Public%20Realm…
