Neighbourhood Priorities Statement (NPS) Sub-Committee: First Meeting

We are pleased to announce that the first meeting of the NPS Sub-Committee will take place on Tuesday 27th October 2026 at 5pm. This new sub-committee will help shape our community’s future by preparing a NPS – a document that tells Cornwall Council what matters most to our parish when planning for future growth, development, and infrastructure.

There are a limited number of voting spaces available for members of the public on the sub-committee. If you would like to be involved as a voting member, or if you are simply interested in attending meetings, please contact the Parish Council office:

At the first meeting, future meeting dates will be arranged.

Have Your Say – Complete the Survey!
To help us proceed with the NPS, we need as many people as possible to complete the Cornwall Council “Planning for Our Future” survey. Your views are vital in shaping the future of our parish.

What is a Neighbourhood Priorities Statement (NPS)?
An NPS is your chance to influence Cornwall Council’s new Local Plan by setting out what our parish values, what local issues need to be addressed, and what infrastructure or improvements would be needed if future growth takes place. The NPS can cover topics such as housing, transport, public spaces, community facilities, local services, the natural environment, heritage, landscape, and the character of our villages.

Please note: An NPS is not the same as a Neighbourhood Development Plan. It does not create planning policies or allocate land, but it is an important opportunity to make our community’s voice heard.

The NPS must be completed and presented to Cornwall Council by October 2027.
