Devon & Cornwall Police’s Community Messaging Service

Devon & Cornwall Police are encouraging residents to sign up to their Community Messaging system, a free two‑way communication service designed to keep people informed and connected with their local policing teams. The system allows police to share important local information directly with communities, including:
  • Police appeals and news updates
  • Local crime trends and prevention advice
  • Community safety messages
  • Information about neighbourhood events and opportunities to meet local officers
  • Positive good‑news stories from across the region
In addition to receiving updates by email or text, residents can respond directly with information, helping to strengthen communication between the police and the community. Signing up is simple and free. Once registered, users can log in at any time to manage their account settings, select the type of updates they wish to receive, and decide how and when to receive them. The Community Messaging system is delivered through the Devon & Cornwall Alert platform, which is part of the wider Neighbourhood Alert network. Registered users’ information is handled securely, with personal details only shared with a small number of licensed partner organisations such as the Police, Fire & Rescue Services, Neighbourhood Watch, Local Authority Councils and system administrators. Residents can sign up today via: community-messaging.dc.police.uk For more information, email: community-messaging@dc.police.uk
