Neighbourhood Development Plan Referendum

St Stephen in Brannel Parish vote YES for adopting the Neighbourhood Development Plan for the benefit of the Community

St Stephen in Brannel Parish Council is delighted to announce that the Neighbourhood Development Plan, which includes policies that will help to protect future building and design, the environment, character and heritage of the Parish has been SUCCESSFUL at Referendum.

This means that the Plan will now be officially adopted by Cornwall Council and the document will have legal planning weight in the determining of planning applications within St Stephen in Brannel Parish.

The Referendum was held on Thursday, 3 October 2024 and the results can be found HERE

Cllr Julie Broad, Chairman of St Stephen in Brannel Parish Council, says: “Our thanks go to all those who contributed to the drawing up of the Neighbourhood Development Plan which took over seven years to complete, especially Councillor Kim Wonnacott who led a dedicated team of councillors and volunteers from within the Parish. Many hours of commitment were given, utilising the highly valuable input from our Parishioners in making sure the Plan delivers in helping us to protect the future of our Parish.”
