November 05th 2020
Further to latest government guidance. and following a COVID risk assessment, the parish council will be holding a wreath laying service on Remembrance Sunday at the war memorial in St Stephen Churchtown cemetery.
At 10.55am Rev Emma Childs will say a few words prior to 2 minutes silence at 11am. Following this, Cllr Dave Simpson will lay a wreath on behalf of St Stephen in Brannel Parish Council and it’s residents, Cllr Mike McLening on behalf of Cornwall Council and Cllr Barry Davey on behalf of Devon & Cornwall police.
The war memorial will be sectioned off and only the aforementioned people will be allowed access during this time. Residents who do attend can only observe from outside the sectioned area and must adhere to social distancing restrictions as detailed in the link below – QR posters will be displayed to comply with track and trace requirements.
