The Parish Council has received the following from Cornwall Community Flood Forum. For further information please visit http://www.cornwallcommunityfloodforum.org.uk/
It has been an exceptionally wet autumn. September and October were among the wettest on record. The ground is saturated across the country, rivers are full and this means that it will now take less rain to have a significant impact.
With the recent wet weather and rain further forecasted in the next few days across Cornwall, we would like to remind you of some important contacts in the event of a flood situation occurring in your community. I have also attached the Environment Agency’s flood action guide for you to share with your community.
Please remember that if are part of a volunteer flood group and you activate your Community Emergency Plan or Community Flood Plan, phone CFRS Critical Control on 02031622240 when this is activated, or for advice and guidance before, during or after an emergency.
If life is at risk then please call 999.
