Have you seen someone sleeping rough?

If you need to raise concerns about someone sleeping rough in Cornwall this winter, you can contact Streetlink on 0300 500 0914 or www.streetlink.org.uk. Streetlink is a national service that coordinates reports and sends them to local authorities, who then arrange for an outreach officer to visit the individual and connect them to support.

You will need to provide information about the location of the rough sleeper, the time they were seen and any details about them (age, gender, clothing, etc). Streetlink will provide you with an update of action taken within 10 days, if you request it. Alternatively, you can ring Cornwall Council’s Prevention and Engagement team on 0300 1234 161 to report rough sleepers.

There are a number of options available to rough sleepers, which means that they do not need to stay on the streets, such as Somewhere Safe to Stay Hub, which operates on a 24/7 basis year round. During poor weather there is also Cold Weather Provision and Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) accommodation.
