Local Council Award Scheme

April 10th 2019

St Stephen in Brannel Parish Council are delighted to advise that they have achieved the Quality Award under the Local Council Award Scheme.

The Quality Award demonstrates that the Council achieves good practice in governance, community engagement and council improvement. Quality Councils go above and beyond their legal obligations by leading their communities and continuously seeking opportunities to improve and develop even further.

Cllr David Hatton, Chairman, said “Information from the National Association of Local Councils advises that St Stephen in Brannel Parish Council are the fourth Council in Cornwall to apply for and achieve this Award. There are 213 Parish/Town Councils in Cornwall therefore I am extremely proud of my fellow Members and the Council Staff that work on behalf of the residents. Receiving this Award recognises all that they do for their local community.”
