CERC – operational update

June 25th 2018

The Parish Council have received the following email on Friday 22nd June 2018. Any queries should be directed to Suez.

We experienced temporary disruption to the facility’s steam turbine operation around 11am this morning.  The turbine tripped as designed, resulting in some steam being released via controlled bypass and noise associated with this.

The two lines of the energy recovery centre are being brought on line over the course of the next day.  During this process, low pressure steam will be released from the facility until the steam reaches the correct pressure to pass through the air cooled condenser fans.  As such, you may see steam coming from the facility at intervals accompanied by low level noise as the steam is released.

Kind regards,
